Jonathan Lennard’s career as a fashion photographer happened as fast as a cover for the Face in London, then Esquire in the US, then British Vogue in the UK, then L’Officiel in Paris. A shoot with Julia Roberts put him on the photographer’s roadmap.

Lennard did not stop with still photography, intrigued by moving images, he has been shooting commercials around the world for brands such as L’Oreal, Dove, Sony, Chevrolet, Maybelline, to name but a few. A commercial for Nokia with the rising actress Priyanka Chopra, continued opened doors throughout Asia. 

“I started my career as a 'Fashiondog', a photographer begging for an editorial job.” I loved telling visual stories and the only way I could share them were through magazines. That was a time when iconic photographs were more important than quantitative photography. In this generation iconic sometimes takes the back seat to quantity. As magazines themselves are becoming a rare breed, this site is meant to share past and current projects.
